Kitchit Team: Our Day in San Francisco!
Last week, Kitchit ventured from our office in Palo Alto for a work (and play!) day in San Francisco, hosted by our friends at Pocket Gems. We spent the “work” part of our day enjoying their top-story floor at an office building in SoMa, a short distance away from a variety of incredible venues.
After a few hours of hard work at Pocket Gems, we broke for lunch at Tropisueno. One side of the restaurant serves as a taqueria for lunch, with an open counter for straight-forward (yet nonetheless tasty) orders that are easy to take out the door. Being a rare San Francisco sunny day, we took advantage of the taqueria and enjoyed lunch on the Yerba Buena Gardens lawn across the street. After finishing the workday at Pocket Gems, we embarked across the city to The Mission to catch the tail end of Mission Cheese‘s dinner service, which included a few paninis and the requisite (and delicious) cheese tasting.
We finished our day at Bi-Rite Market and Bi-Rite Creamery & Bakeshop, just around the corner from Mission Cheese, which made for quite the day’s roundup of absolutely amazing food vendors. All in all, there’s nothing like ending your day with salted caramel ice cream. Dear San Francisco: we miss you already & can’t wait to come back!
